sidelines of the men's shows -

it's ok that i'm crushing on him, right?
and his yellow socks?
and his JAWLINE?

i've met the hamish.
in passing, at a party.
this expression is SO the hamish.

when seeing this, i kind of feel like they planned it.

and i want to hug them in thanks.

remember, i've been in a mall in l.a. recently.  i'm still recovering.

TOPSHOP IS ALMOST HERE!

the british chain famous for fast fashion and insanely affordable prices
arrives in nyc, octoberish.

the above is a shot from their men's collection.
look!
no fear!

which means we here,
stateside,
will finally have real fashion for men,
at a price that won't kill us.

i look forward to flooding my wardrobe with whimsy,
trend,
and insanity
the way i did when i was younger and lived in those three categories.

now,
my investments are in luxury and more timeless but thought provoking pieces.

the thought of a store for men that doesn't operate on traditional clothing patterns
or "classics",
well that just makes me smile.

recent men's trends i love (but shouldn't) -

during the fall runway shows,

the street reporting was as good as the catwalk for me.

here are the consistent themes i loved

that real men were wearing

and that i may have to try out:

the trim blazer with the pushed up sleeve -

the calf tattoo (one grr, one avec?) -

the mis-matched short suit -

the slouchy cardigan/cum jacket -

and i already have those shoes . . . half-way there!
